About Packaging & Shippinig

Factors that impact the cost of the artwork

Tube shipping:

The art is a flat sheet of canvas (unless the art is produced on a different flexible surface like paper), and shipped in a heavy-duty mailing tube appropriately sized for the artwork.  To ensure the artwork is protected, it is covered with glassine or acid free archival paper and rolled around a smaller tube to provide inner support.  A layer of bubble wrap is added around the artwork for padding and completely sealed with tape to seal out moisture.  The tube is then placed within the outer mailing tube and any empty spaces filled with extra bubble wrap and then sealed with end caps.

Framed Flat Artwork

Framed flat artwork is shipped with a heavy-duty artwork shipping box.  To ensure the artwork is protected, it is covered with glassine or acid free archival paper then wrapped in plastic, sandwiched with foam board and then wrapped in foam padding or bubble wrap, and finally placed in the heavy-duty artwork shipping box and sealed with tape.

Flat Artworks Larger Than 36” x 36”

Flat Artworks Larger Than 36” x 36” is shipped in a wooden crate.  To ensure the artwork is protected, it is covered with glassine or acid free archival paper then wrapped in plastic, sandwiched with foam board and then wrapped in foam padding or bubble wrap, and finally placed in the wooden crate.
